Arts Centre Melbourne - Australian Music Vault Exhibition

Located within the Arts Centre, Melbourne, The Australian Music Vault is a free exhibition showcasing the Australian music story, interactive and digital experiences, and iconic objects from the Australian Performing Arts Collection.

Visitors are invited to Explore the musical influences on the Australian 'sound', see costumes worn by international stars and unlock the stories of hip hop in Australia.

The exhibition includes a highly interactive digital experience allowing visitors to listen to interviews with musicians, promoters and behind-the-scenes people sharing their stories within the engagement zones.

Brendan worked with interactive experience lab Grumpy Sailor on all the audio elements of the project.  From curating hundreds of tiny snippets of iconic australian music to play out in the space as a audio sculptural element, to composing a new short work to accompany a regular moment of soniluminescence.  Brendan also mixed a number of music video works for immersive playback within the vault covering long loved artists, music events and rising aussie starts.
